Job description
Role Overview
This role focuses on supporting the development of plumbing and public health engineering system designs that ensure operational efficiency and adherence to relevant codes.
Primary Duties
- Create layouts for water supply, drainage, and stormwater management systems.
- Assist in determining appropriate sizes for pipes, storage tanks, and pumps.
- Contribute to the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs), detailed design drawings, and tender documents.
- Collaborate with civil and architectural teams to manage system routing effectively.
Stakeholder Engagement
Internal: Interaction with PHE Lead, Civil Design, and BIM Teams for coordination and design alignment.
External: Liaison with consultants and vendors as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a B.E. or B.Tech degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Accumulate 2 to 5 years of experience specifically in plumbing system design.
- Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD and fundamental hydraulic design software tools.
- Effective communication skills in English and the local language to facilitate on-site coordination.
Technical and Behavioral Competencies
- Ability to prepare fire system layouts.
- Sound understanding of hydraulic systems and relevant equipment.
