Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Designer who possesses natural leadership abilities and excellent communication skills to guide and inspire our design team. Your expertise in branding principles enables you to independently grasp the essence of brands and execute projects across various assignments efficiently. Problem-solving excites you, and you take ownership of your work, readily accepting responsibility and accountability for decisions.

Client relationship management and meticulous attention to detail are essential as you oversee projects spanning weeks or months, often coordinating with vendors and stakeholders. Strong presentation skills are required to clearly convey design concepts to clients and coworkers.

Daily Responsibilities

• Critically assess both team members' and personal design work with an emphasis on art direction, maintaining high quality standards, and fostering open feedback exchange.
• Effectively manage your workload while mentoring junior designers and interns to support their professional growth.
• Collaborate closely with fellow creatives to refine ideas and achieve superior design outcomes.
• Engage in diverse tasks daily ranging from creating social media graphics and apparel designs to leading brand development and innovative packaging concepts.

Candidate Requirements

• A comprehensive portfolio showcasing a variety of visual brand identities across print and digital media; experience with menus, signage, and packaging is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A strong commitment to personal development and leadership growth as intrinsic qualities.
• Proficient in design fundamentals along with advanced technical skills including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Mac OS, and design for Squarespace, Webflow, and social media platforms.
• Experienced in fast-paced agency environments with 3 to 4 years in an in-house agency role and over five years specializing in brand design, with comfort managing tight deadlines and variable response times.

Additional Preferred Skills

• Copywriting ability to articulate creative processes and concepts effectively.
• Illustration skills that augment client branding.
• Familiarity with brand strategy development and implementation.
• Keen interest or experience with hospitality, restaurant, and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries.
• Experience or interest in motion graphics design.
