Role Overview

The AWS Professional Services team is hiring an experienced Senior Delivery Security Consultant to support customer engagements in Riyadh. In this position, you will partner with clients to shape, build, and operate secure AWS-based solutions that align with their technical needs and business goals. You will act as a technical advisor throughout the delivery lifecycle, helping customers move to the cloud with strong security, reliable architecture, and practical best practices.

This role requires a strong background in AWS services and a solid grasp of how to design secure, scalable cloud environments. You will work with customer stakeholders to understand current systems, review infrastructure, plan migration approaches, and guide implementation. A major part of the job is to help teams make informed decisions, improve performance, reduce risk, and adopt secure patterns while supporting successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Required Background

Applicants should bring experience in technical architecture and solution design, along with a track record of working on complex, large-scale projects for external or internal customers. The role also calls for practical exposure to cloud architecture and implementation, plus a solid foundation in security, risk, and compliance.

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required, although equivalent experience is also acceptable. Candidates should have at least 5 years of hands-on security experience across two or more of the following areas: cloud security, application security, identity and access management, network security, data protection, and incident response. Experience implementing enterprise security tools and controls such as data loss prevention, web application firewalls, and SIEM platforms is also needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms is advantageous, especially if paired with knowledge of systems, networking, and operating systems. Security certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, or CCSP are considered a plus. Additional strengths include experience with complex cloud transformation programs, sound judgment in ambiguous situations, and familiarity with the German language.
