Your responsibilities will include designing experiments, investigating key metrics, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to deploy impactful features, including cutting-edge AI-driven experiences.
Key Responsibilities

- Assess A/B testing and causal analysis tools to identify gaps; collaborate with Applied Sciences teams to refine test protocols, interpret ramp performance, and optimize features or models.
- Utilize AI tools routinely to enhance work efficiency.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to translate business challenges into testable data hypotheses.
- Develop and apply statistical models and causal analyses, including panel analysis and A/B testing, to identify drivers behind key metrics and generate actionable insights within complex product areas.
- Independently identify and diagnose issues and improvement opportunities related to AI and large language model (LLM) systems.
- Create prototype data solutions, or work with Data Science and Engineering teams to build and validate scalable tools that convert data into meaningful insights for internal clients.
- Incorporate data science best practices throughout the development lifecycle; mentor junior team members by providing constructive feedback.
- Communicate effectively with partners and internal customers regarding the scope and priority of data investigations and experiments, supporting decision-making aligned with strategic goals.
- Develop and execute predictive models estimating the impact of various initiatives on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Create compelling narratives centered around data to aid stakeholders in making informed decisions.
Required Qualifications

- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as R, Python, or Scala.
- Applied experience with statistics and modeling using statistical software.
- Skillful in storytelling with data and proficient in data visualization tools.
- Hands-on experience in designing and analyzing platform experiments like A/B testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, Informatics, Statistics, or related areas.
- Strong expertise in SQL, Python, experimental design and analysis, and variance reduction techniques.
- Familiarity with causal inference methodologies.
- Product intuition specifically for two-sided marketplace environments.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively measure AI-powered product features.
