Role Overview

The Senior Data Entry Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of vital business data across multiple grocery outlets. This role involves handling high-volume data entry, item creation, pricing updates, promotional details, and system database upkeep while working closely with various departments to promote efficient retail operations and superior data quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform substantial data entry tasks with high accuracy, manage item master files including UPCs, PLUs, product categories, and attributes.
  • Set up new products across several store locations and maintain current pricing, promotions, and product data within company systems.
  • Document and organize data administration efforts to ensure that all business records remain precise and updated.
  • Execute regular price modifications, markdowns, and vendor promotions; oversee item lifecycle and pricing consistency at all retail outlets.
  • Identify and solve discrepancies through audits and data validation checks, supporting data governance initiatives and quality standards.
  • Act as the main liaison for store personnel regarding product and pricing concerns, collaborating with teams such as Merchandising, Purchasing, Operations, and IT.
  • Assist with system enhancements, data migrations, and POS or backend system upgrades; suggest workflow improvements to bolster efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare detailed reports to aid business decisions, maintain comprehensive records for merchandising, and monitor data trends to highlight areas needing correction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in data entry, data management, or retail administration involving large datasets with impeccable accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as formulas, lookups, sorting, filtering, and reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and thrive in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with point-of-sale, ERP, or retail back-office platforms.
  • Knowledge of product setup, pricing, inventory management, or merchandising processes in retail.
  • Experience working with multiple retail locations and conducting data audits or process enhancements.
  • Exposure to systems such as BR Data, Encore, or Truno is a plus.
