The team supports a massive global infrastructure footprint and places strong emphasis on employee growth, professional certifications, career rotation opportunities, and diversity and inclusion learning.

Microsoft’s broader mission is to help every person and organization achieve more. The company promotes a growth mindset and a workplace built on respect, integrity, accountability, and inclusion.

Key duties

  • Handle assigned tasks, and raise issues appropriately during busy periods or escalation-heavy situations.
  • Use process knowledge and technical understanding to close escalations or route them upward when required, while supporting onsite and/or remote data center operations.
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach that improves service quality and helps ensure strong value delivery.
  • Make sure teams complete the steps needed to preserve accurate inventory balances.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for the RMA warranty process and ensure failed vendor hardware is processed correctly through the required tools and workflows.
  • Coordinate schedules for DBD destruction or shredding with senior leadership and ensure procedural compliance during disposal activities.
  • Take part in, lead, or support daily safety briefings; complete safety training; and advise technicians on safe practices such as PPE use, rack movement, heavy equipment operation, lifting, and ladder or rolling stair usage.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, improve, and automate existing workflows, services, and solutions.
  • Work in line with Microsoft’s culture and values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma plus experience in warehouse, supply chain, inventory management, retail, warehouse operations, or another related field within an IT environment.
  • Equivalent practical experience may be accepted.
  • Ability to satisfy Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Must be able to complete the Microsoft Cloud Background Check at hire or transfer and again every two years after that.
  • Preferred background includes experience in warehouse, supply chain, IT, and/or logistics in an IT environment for a large organization.
  • Preferred hands-on experience using heavy-load movement equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or chassis lifts.
