Team and role

The Sales organization focuses on revenue growth through strategic relationships with agencies and direct advertisers. The team is analytical, collaborative, and entrepreneurial, and it works closely with other functions to solve problems and build value for both advertisers and Quora.

As a Customer Success Manager, you will act as the primary advisor for a varied portfolio of advertisers. You will own the customer experience end to end, use data and product knowledge to guide account strategy, and help improve campaign performance and creative effectiveness. The role goes beyond standard sales support by requiring direct, timely communication, thoughtful advice, and the confidence to challenge advertisers when doing so can improve results.

The ideal background includes agency or sales experience, relationship management across internal and external stakeholders, and exposure to paid search and direct-response/performance marketing. The role suits someone who enjoys solving problems, identifying patterns in data, thinking creatively, influencing clients, and getting work executed efficiently.

Key responsibilities

  • Independently manage a portfolio of advertising clients.
  • Identify growth opportunities inside accounts and turn them into actions that support revenue expansion.
  • Respond to campaign delivery and optimization questions, and resolve related issues.
  • Lead quarterly business reviews, post-campaign presentations, and recurring client check-ins.
  • Capture and circulate learnings, playbooks, and best practices both internally and externally.
  • Track and forecast account performance data for internal planning and projections.

Minimum qualifications

  • Ability to join meetings and respond to ad hoc communication during Quora coordination hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing advertising campaigns from the client side or publisher side, with preference for search and social campaign experience.
  • Proven track record with enterprise-level clients, strong hands-on execution, and direct experience in the North American market.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills, with the confidence and tact to respectfully push back on strategic decisions when needed, including with senior and C-level stakeholders.
  • Comfort working with beta products and serving as the first point of contact for technical or account-related troubleshooting.
  • Practical experience planning, optimizing, and managing performance marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to turn analytics into clear insights and recommendations about what creative content is working and what should be improved.
  • Strong initiative, bias for action, and the ability to work through obstacles in a fast-moving, demanding environment.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with sales platforms such as Salesforce and Apollo.io.
  • Experience running paid advertising on Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit, Google, and/or Pinterest.

For U.S.-based candidates, the base salary range is USD 74,161 to USD 143,260, plus equity and benefits. The on-target earnings range is USD 105,945 to USD 204,657, plus equity and benefits.
