Job description
Role Overview
Level Agency is hiring a Senior Content Strategist to design and operate the content system that shapes how the agency is perceived in the market. This is a strategic, hands-on role for someone who can translate agency expertise into strong positioning, credible thought leadership, practical sales support, and scalable content workflows that contribute to growth.
This position is not focused on simply managing a content calendar or producing isolated assets. Instead, it requires ownership of the larger content strategy: what gets created, why it matters, where it is distributed, and how it supports pipeline and business goals. The work spans owned channels, website assets, case studies, sales enablement, podcast and event content, and collaboration with internal subject matter experts.
The role reports to the SVP of Marketing and Sales Enablement. It is fully remote and open only to residents of the United States and Canada. Occasional travel may be required for company events and industry conferences.
Compensation
- U.S.-based candidates: USD 75,000 to 95,000 annually
- Canada-based candidates: CAD 80,000 to 100,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead the editorial strategy across owned channels such as the website, blog, podcast, newsletter, social media, and sales enablement materials.
- Develop and maintain a 90-day content calendar aligned with go-to-market priorities, active verticals, events, conferences, and sales needs.
- Transform internal expertise into thought leadership content that feels differentiated, practical, and credible to prospects, clients, and industry audiences.
- Create repeatable content systems, including workflows, templates, briefs, review cycles, and production processes that improve consistency and efficiency.
- Use AI tools in real workflows for research, drafting, rewriting, summarizing, content scoring, search optimization, and distribution planning while preserving editorial quality and human judgment.
- Shape website content for vertical pages, service pages, campaign landing pages, and other key digital assets in partnership with design, SEO, and AI search teams.
- Structure content so it performs in both traditional search and AI-driven discovery environments such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini.
- Own the strategy, standards, production flow, and publishing rhythm for case studies, including stories built using the Challenge, Analysis, Insight, Strategy, Result format.
- Partner with sales and marketing leaders to build one-pagers, vertical-specific decks, objection-handling assets, competitive messaging, and other materials that support deal progression.
- Coordinate with account leads, strategists, subject matter experts, clients, freelancers, contractors, and internal teams to secure accurate approvals and publish on-brand content.
- Repurpose podcasts, events, case studies, internal expertise, and campaign learnings into content that can be used across multiple formats and channels.
- Maintain strong quality control over voice, accuracy, credibility, and brand consistency.
- Where relevant, contribute to podcast operations, award submissions, event content, conference recaps, or public relations-related content.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional content experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a strategy, senior individual contributor, or team leadership role.
- Excellent writing ability and editorial judgment, with the capacity to turn technical, strategic, or performance-driven input into clear and persuasive content.
- Direct experience owning content strategy, editorial direction, calendars, channel planning, and production priorities.
- Experience creating scalable content systems such as templates, approval paths, workflows, and production pipelines.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in content workflows for research, drafting, repurposing, summarization, scoring, search optimization, or process design.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage several active workstreams, set deadlines, and keep work moving without heavy oversight.
- Comfort working with executives, internal experts, sales teams, clients, freelancers, and contractors.
- Background producing long-form content such as case studies, reports, white papers, editorial pieces, thought leadership, or sales materials.
- Ability to conduct interviews and convert incomplete or messy input into useful content.
- High attention to quality, including the ability to identify weak structure, unclear claims, inconsistencies, and off-brand language.
- Self-directed working style with strong organization and familiarity using project management tools.
- Experience publishing or editing in WordPress, plus basic comfort with HTML/CSS for formatting and on-page edits.
- Preferred background includes B2B, agency, or professional services experience; exposure to performance marketing; sales enablement work; case study development; podcast or multimedia workflows; agency award submissions; HubSpot or similar systems; and optimization for AI discovery platforms.
AI Expectations
AI fluency is treated as a core capability for this role, not a nice-to-have. The selected candidate is expected to use AI as part of a mature content infrastructure, not as a shortcut.
- Use tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Midjourney, and similar platforms to improve research, creation, editing, repurposing, and distribution.
- Build and document AI-supported workflows that other team members can adopt and refine.
- Maintain prompt libraries, content brief templates, editorial review loops, human review checkpoints, and production frameworks.
- Experiment with AI across writing, research, image generation, summarization, content scoring, search optimization, and distribution.
- Stay current on how AI platforms cite, summarize, and recommend content, and adapt strategy accordingly.
- Evaluate tools based on practical usefulness rather than vendor claims.
- Share prompts, process improvements, use cases, and lessons learned with the team.
- Continuously refine workflows, recognizing that the first version is rarely the best one.
Core Values
- No Ego, All In: the team prioritizes shared outcomes over job boundaries.
- Better Every Day: feedback, testing, learning, and continuous improvement are expected.
- Relentless for Results: activity matters only when it produces business impact.
- Driven by Truth: decisions should be informed by data and honest communication.
Perks & Benefits
- Fully remote work across the U.S. and Canada.
- Monthly work-from-home stipend and Summer Fridays.
- Time off benefits including unlimited PTO for U.S. employees, competitive vacation for Canada-based employees, and parental/family leave options.

- Retirement support with employer contributions: 401(k) in the U.S. and RRSP matching in Canada.
- Quarterly performance reviews and opportunities for career growth.
Remote Policy and Eligibility
This role is fully remote and available only to residents of the United States and Canada. Visa sponsorship is not available. Occasional travel may be requested for company events and industry conferences.

Level Agency states that it is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging and is an equal opportunity employer.
