Job description
About the Role
This project brings together experienced strategy consultants to help build training environments for advanced AI systems. The work centers on turning authentic management consulting engagements into structured scenarios that can teach AI models how to reason through business problems, develop recommendations, and evaluate outcomes.
The broader initiative is backed by an enterprise AI and machine learning data partner that has operated since 2014, and it focuses on helping frontier models improve through domain-specific reinforcement learning tasks, evaluation setups, and practitioner-designed examples.
You will join a team of consultants from leading strategy firms contributing to how AI learns high-level business reasoning.
Who Can Apply
This opportunity is reserved for professionals who have direct, hands-on experience at a top-tier strategy consulting firm. Applicants without project experience from the eligible firms listed below should not apply.
Eligible firms include McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Bain & Company, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Monitor Deloitte (Deloitte S&C), EY-Parthenon, Kearney, and Strategy& (PwC).
Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience from one of these firms and a background in real client work.
What You Will Do
- Create realistic consulting project settings that reflect actual engagement conditions, including industry background, financial details, constraints, incomplete data, and conflicting inputs.
- Develop structured tasks for AI agents that mirror common consulting activities such as market sizing, commercial due diligence, cost reduction, growth planning, operational diagnosis, benchmarking, and related analyses.
- Establish scoring standards, grading rubrics, and reference solutions that will be used to train and calibrate an LLM-based evaluation system.
Experience and Working Style
- Experience of 3+ years at one of the eligible firms.
- Proven ability to break down ambiguous business problems into clear analytical workstreams.
- Hands-on experience with building financial models, market assessments, or synthesizing complex and messy information.
- Track record of preparing client-facing outputs under tight deadlines.
- Comfort with forming and defending recommendations even when information is incomplete or uncertain.
- Strong logical consistency and high standards for output quality.
- Independent and self-managed working style.
- Clear written English at B2 level or above.
Additional Information
This is a remote, project-based role for an individual contributor. The work is focused on analytical design and evaluation rather than team management.
No deep technical background is needed; onboarding will be provided for the lightweight tools used in the project.
The compensation for this project can go up to the equivalent of $60 per hour, depending on experience and contribution pace. Pay may vary by project based on scope, complexity, and expertise requirements.
The role is based in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany, but the work itself is remote.
No openings, application deadline, start date, or duration were specified.
There is no separate stipend listed, and the compensation is variable across projects.
About the Company
