About the opportunity

This project is part of an AI training initiative focused on management consulting. The aim is to turn real consulting work into structured learning environments that help advanced AI systems improve at problem solving, analysis, and recommendation-building. The work is supported by Toloka AI, a long-standing enterprise AI and ML data partner, and Mindrift, its expert network that connects specialists with AI initiatives.

The team is building a management consulting domain with input from experienced strategy consultants. The purpose is to convert authentic engagements into complete examples covering everything from how the problem is framed and work is planned to how analysis is done, insights are synthesized, and final recommendations are delivered to clients.

You will collaborate with a growing group of consultants from leading strategy firms and help shape how AI learns high-level business reasoning.

Eligibility

This role is strictly reserved for professionals who have worked directly at a top-tier strategy consulting firm. Candidates without hands-on project experience from the firms listed below should not apply. The domain is being built only by practitioners trained in rigorous structured problem solving and client delivery.

Eligible firms include McKinsey & Company, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Bain & Company, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Monitor Deloitte (Deloitte S&C), EY-Parthenon, Kearney, and Strategy& (PwC).

Applicants should have at least 3 years of experience at one of these firms and bring practical exposure to client work such as structuring unclear business problems into analytical plans, building financial models or market analyses from imperfect inputs, creating client-ready outputs under tight deadlines, and defending recommendations when outcomes are uncertain.

What you will do

This is a remote, project-based role for an individual contributor. The work centers on analytical design and evaluation rather than deep technical development.

• Create realistic consulting project environments based on real engagement conditions, including industry background, financial context, constraints, conflicting information, and missing data.
• Design structured tasks for AI agents that reflect actual consulting workflows, such as market sizing, commercial due diligence, cost reduction, growth strategy, operational diagnosis, benchmarking, and related work.
• Develop evaluation standards, grading rubrics, and reference solutions for each task so they can be used to train and calibrate an LLM-based assessment system that scores AI outputs at scale.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience at McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Oliver Wyman, Roland Berger, Monitor Deloitte, EY-Parthenon, Kearney, or Strategy&.
• Strong ability to solve problems in a structured, hypothesis-led way.
• Comfort turning ambiguous business issues into clear analytical steps and concrete deliverables.
• High standards for logical accuracy and quality control.
• Self-driven working style with the ability to work independently.
• Clear written English at B2 level or above.

Compensation

Contributors can earn up to the equivalent of $60 per hour on this project, depending on experience level and contribution speed.

Pay can differ across projects based on scope, complexity, and the expertise needed. Other projects on the platform may have different earning levels.

Additional information

The role is remote and project-based, with an individual contributor setup. No advanced technical background is necessary, as onboarding will cover the lightweight tools used in the workflow.
