Job description

Role overview

The Finance Transformation team advises CFOs and finance leaders on how to respond to fast-changing business demands. The work focuses on helping organisations improve efficiency, sharpen insight, and create stronger value through change across finance functions.

This opportunity sits within the Finance Transformation offering, which looks at the finance operating model end to end — including systems, processes, people, and operations — to improve effectiveness, support better decisions, and align finance with wider business goals through digital tools and other enhancements.

What you will do

As a Senior Consultant, you will contribute to engagements involving ERP and EPM solutions. The work spans planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, data analytics, and the use of AI in finance processes.

You will work with major clients across Australia as well as colleagues from the national KPMG team in a collaborative environment. The role offers exposure to projects that help finance teams modernise operations, progress strategic priorities, and adopt contemporary digital solutions.

This role is suited to people who have experience in consulting or finance transformation and want to broaden their background across multiple clients and industries. It offers challenging work that makes use of leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving in a supportive setting.

Experience and qualifications

Ideal candidates will have exposure to finance-related work such as accounting, financial planning and analysis, shared services, or transformation projects. Early-career and internship experience is welcome.

Working knowledge of ERP/EPM platforms such as Oracle, Microsoft, or SAP will be useful, along with familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, or strategic planning.

Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited college or university and must already be authorised to work in Australia without current or future visa sponsorship.
