Role Overview

The Finance & Legal teams at CarTrawler ensure trust, clarity, and responsibility across all operations, supporting sustainable growth through financial planning, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance. The Senior Commercial Finance Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract will play a key role in shaping CarTrawler's commercial success by collaborating with senior leaders to drive profitability and strategic business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide insightful commercial financial analysis to support key projects and ensure informed decision-making.
• Oversee financial evaluation, governance, and approval of new market opportunities, partnership renewals, and investments to balance growth with profitability.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to guide strategic and operational decisions maximizing financial performance and sustainable expansion.
• Lead and mentor a team of Finance Business Partners encouraging a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous development.
• Develop frameworks that prioritize initiatives based on return on investment to drive maximum business value.
• Act as Finance representative in cross-functional groups, strengthening stakeholder relationships and influencing major business decisions with financial insights.

Candidate Requirements

• Holds a recognized accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) along with a degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Extensive commercial finance experience post-qualification, including leadership of high-performing finance teams.
• Demonstrated strong commercial judgement focused on value creation and ability to translate numbers into strategic advice for senior management.
• Experienced in partnering with diverse leadership teams to build trusted relationships and achieve commercially sound outcomes.
• Adept at navigating ambiguity and synthesizing complex information into actionable strategies.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and familiarity with BI/data visualization tools such as ThoughtSpot or Tableau.
• Interest and preferably experience in applying AI and emerging technologies to enhance Finance workflows and automate tasks.
