Role Overview

In this position, you will support the German commercial business through financial planning and analysis. Your work will center on dependable reporting, meaningful interpretation of data, and forecast preparation based on business trends. You will partner with Finance, Country Management, Marketing, and other stakeholders to improve transparency around performance, growth, and profitability.

You will convert financial and operational information into useful insights, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and help prepare business cases for commercial initiatives. The role offers ownership of defined areas while also providing the chance to learn from experienced FP&A and finance business partners in a fast-moving e-commerce setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and enhance recurring financial reports and variance analysis for the German business so stakeholders can clearly understand the main performance drivers.
• Support budget and forecast cycles by managing and improving the forecasting model, gathering inputs, questioning assumptions, and preparing concise financial summaries.
• Review commercial and operational KPIs, including revenue trends, margin, marketing expenditure, customer economics, and profitability drivers.
• Create and maintain financial models, dashboards, and datasets that strengthen visibility and support better decisions.
• Assist with business cases for commercial initiatives, marketing spend, and growth opportunities using fact-based analysis and scenario modelling.
• Spot risks and opportunities in performance patterns and turn your findings into practical recommendations.

Requirements

• A university degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a similar discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Controlling or FP&A within a commercial, e-commerce, or highly digital consumer-focused environment.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis.
• Well-developed analytical ability, including the capacity to break down problems, interpret data, and draw actionable conclusions.
• Advanced technical capability with an AI- and data-driven mindset, plus strong Excel skills including PowerPivot and PowerQuery for handling complex analyses and generating strategic insights.
• Genuine interest in commercial performance, e-commerce, customer economics, marketing ROI, and profitability management.
• Fluency in English; German language skills are a strong advantage.
