Job description

Overview

Prosper Group provides support to adults with intellectual disabilities, helping them build meaningful and more independent lives in their communities. The organisation is looking for a Senior Clinical Psychologist to join its Clinical Services team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality psychological support across the service.

This position is well suited to an experienced clinician with a strong interest in intellectual disability, autism, Positive Behaviour Support, and mental health. The role involves working closely with colleagues in a multidisciplinary environment and helping to shape person-centred practice throughout the organisation.

Role details

Location: Swords, Co. Dublin, with travel across North County Dublin and County Meath

Employment type: Permanent, full-time

Working hours: 37 hours per week

Salary range: €97,978 to €115,166

What you will do

  • Take the lead in delivering psychology services according to professional standards and current best practice.
  • Carry out specialist psychological assessments, interventions, and consultations.
  • Promote and support Positive Behaviour Support methods across services.
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary colleagues, families, and support teams to provide coordinated care.
  • Help develop services, provide clinical leadership, and support staff in their work.
  • Encourage evidence-based, person-centred approaches across the organisation.

Essential criteria

  • A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, either PSI-accredited or an equivalent qualification that is formally recognised.
  • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience working as a Clinical Psychologist.
  • Previous experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities.
  • Background in autism, Positive Behaviour Support, and/or mental health.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Comfort working within a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • A full, clean driving licence and access to a car.
