Job description
Overview
This opportunity is for a Senior Clinical Fellow at ST8 level in Orthopaedic Trauma. It is intended for senior orthopaedic trainees looking to build additional expertise in trauma orthopaedics. The appointment starts on 5 August 2026 and runs for 12 months, ending on 3 August 2027.
The post is based in the Trauma Unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, with strong links to the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital for the management of paediatric orthopaedic trauma. The appointed doctor will also participate in the senior ST on-call trauma rota.
Eligibility and registration
Applicants must hold full registration with a licence to practise from the GMC, and this must be in place before the start date. This post does not have educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean and will not count towards recognised training.
