  • Create and roll out practical claims management systems, standards, and good practices across projects.
  • Advise on contractual rights and obligations under FIDIC, custom EPC contracts, concession agreements, joint ventures, and partnership structures.
  • Handle major, high-value claims on both the assertive and defensive sides.
  • Lead and support dispute resolution activities, including DAB/DAAB processes, arbitration, and other contract-based dispute routes.
  • Liaise with outside legal counsel, delay experts, quantum specialists, and other consultants as needed.
  • Provide executive-level guidance on claims exposure, contractual risk, and dispute strategy.
  • Support project teams with claims avoidance measures and risk reduction planning.
  • Review notices, contractual correspondence, and claim documentation to ensure they align with contractual obligations.
  • Help strengthen and continuously improve contract and claims management practices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or an equivalent legal qualification from a recognized jurisdiction is required.
  • Admission to legal practice is strongly preferred.
  • A postgraduate credential in Construction Law, Arbitration, Claims Management, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • 12–18 years of progressive experience in construction law and claims management is expected.
  • Strong background in major infrastructure, real estate, and EPC projects is required.
  • Solid knowledge of FIDIC contracts and handling complex, high-value claims and disputes is essential.
  • Experience in Saudi Arabia and/or the GCC region is highly preferred.
  • Deep practical understanding of delay analysis, EOT, variations, disruption, and prolongation claims is needed.
  • Familiarity with arbitration forums such as ICC, LCIA, SCCA, or similar bodies is important.
  • Good knowledge of dispute resolution mechanisms used in construction contracts is required.
  • Ability to connect legal, commercial, and technical elements of claims work is essential.
  • Proven success in managing major disputes on large-scale projects is expected.
  • Excellent skills in stakeholder handling, negotiation, analysis, and communication are necessary.
