Role Overview

The Automotive Category team in India seeks an experienced Senior Category Manager to lead the growth and scaling of home improvement product categories and key customer-centric projects. The ideal candidate is passionately committed to excellent customer service and positioning Amazon as the preferred partner in Home Improvement. They should skillfully balance visionary thinking, thrive amidst ambiguity, and accelerate experimental initiatives. Strong self-drive, analytical ability, and a results-oriented approach are essential, alongside the capacity to make data-driven decisions independently and collaborate with senior global stakeholders internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

The chosen candidate will excel in solving problems independently despite constraints, demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and spoken, exercise strong ownership and persistence, possess proven leadership in project management, and adapt comfortably within evolving organizational structures.

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in category management, business development, or buying roles.
• Hold a Master's degree.
• Proficient in utilizing data to guide business decision-making.
• Capable of fostering collaboration across internal teams.
• Experienced in business analysis and managing profit and loss (P&L).

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to lead and align efforts across multifunctional teams effectively.

Additional Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• 5+ years in account management, project or program management, or buying functions.
• Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree combined with 5+ years of professional or military experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL is a plus.
