Overview

INCOG BioPharma Services is seeking a proactive and self-motivated individual to strengthen its Supply Chain Team as a Senior Supply Chain Buyer / Planner. In this role, you will support strategic sourcing and procurement for raw materials, consumables, and equipment within a GMP-compliant biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The position requires a blend of technical procurement expertise and supply chain management to ensure the dependable, compliant, and cost-effective acquisition of critical materials.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire process from purchase requisition to issuing purchase orders.
  • Maintain order acknowledgments in ERP systems, collaborating closely with requestors to meet lead time requirements.
  • Drive strategic sourcing initiatives for vital raw materials, pharmaceutical components, and capital equipment aligned with cGMP standards.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with key suppliers, ensuring proper execution and upkeep of quality and supply agreements.
  • Define and monitor minimum and maximum inventory levels for stocked materials in the ERP system.
  • Generate and communicate demand forecasts for inventory items.
  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate top-tier suppliers.
  • Handle procurement functions such as issuing purchase orders, reviewing contracts, and monitoring supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to manage the supplier qualification process.
  • Foster positive working relationships with suppliers and internal teams to promote trust and collaboration.
  • Coordinate with Production Planning to maintain optimum inventory and ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and cross-departmental processes.
  • Maintain Good Documentation Practices consistently.
  • Manage and resolve supply chain interruptions through effective risk mitigation strategies.

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of supplier quality management systems.
  • Leadership skills including mentoring and training team members individually.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and analytical tools; capable of independently analyzing data and reporting insights to senior management.
  • In-depth knowledge of cGMP protocols and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with regulatory bodies and standards such as FDA, EMA, and ISO.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Advanced negotiation skills and the capacity to manage supplier relationships effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Critical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience working collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong management skills in both projects and time allocation.
  • Willingness to participate in supply chain emergency on-call rotations as needed.
  • Ability to operate successfully within a regulated environment adhering to SOPs and GMP guidelines.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work setting.

Preferred Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related scientific discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • 3 to 5 years in roles involving supplier and customer interactions.
  • Over 5 years’ experience in procurement, preferably within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Experience managing supplier qualification and audit processes.
  • Knowledge of single-use technology and sterile manufacturing components.
  • Project management experience.
