Job description
About Miloura
Miloura is an expanding luxury resale company based in central Munich, operating two boutiques and an international online store. We trade in highly coveted luxury brands such as Hermès, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Cartier, and Van Cleef & Arpels. Our ambition is to become one of Europe's leading luxury resale businesses by focusing on smarter investment decisions guided by data, market insights, and entrepreneurial thinking rather than sheer volume or luck.
Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic senior buyer and merchandise planning manager who approaches purchasing as capital investment rather than simple product acquisition. This role involves overseeing the intelligent allocation of our purchasing budget by analyzing market trends, brand development, product demand, risk-return profiles, and growth potential across categories. You will combine quantitative analysis with market intuition to optimize the assortment and build data-driven decision processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and steer the purchasing strategy and budget for our luxury resale assortment
- Perform in-depth analysis of sell-through rates, margins, and capital commitment
- Monitor competitors both in Germany and internationally
- Analyze luxury market trends within Germany and German-speaking social media channels
- Identify emerging trends and potential new growth opportunities
- Optimize product selection and contribute to launching new product categories
- Collaborate closely with the international sourcing team
- Build processes enabling data-informed purchasing decisions
Working Approach
We rely on factual and financial rationale rather than intuition for all buying decisions. We critically evaluate investment justifications, forecast pricing, margins, capital lock-in durations, risks, and alternatives. Post-sale, we compare forecasts to actual outcomes and pursue continuous learning and refinement of our strategies.
Candidate Profile
- Strong analytical thinking and entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent numerical and structured work skills
- Proactive, responsible, and eager to learn
- Passionate about luxury products
- Very good proficiency in Excel or similar analytical tools
- Experience in buying, merchandise planning, category management, luxury retail, fashion, e-commerce, business analytics, finance, controlling, consulting, or analogous roles is a plus
Language Requirements
Fluency in German at a C1 level is mandatory due to the daily analysis of German luxury markets, competitors, and social media content. Good English proficiency is also required.

What We Offer
