Overview
The Senior Business Specialist will oversee and guide the execution of the Technical Strategy across the assigned business portfolio with an emphasis on the Division's Deliver Sustainable Program (DSP). This role involves closely collaborating with Senior Manager MRO Strategy to assess and enhance business performance through structural and tactical initiatives. Establishing operational systems and data frameworks to foster continuous improvement using both internal and external data is essential. Maintaining coherence with the overarching Division’s strategy and effectively communicating it within the scope of responsibility is also required.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously track and monitor strategic objectives of DSP projects to boost business efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance revenue streams within the portfolio.
- Identify critical areas for performance enhancement by liaising with business units and providing financial, operational, and market analysis supported by modern visualization techniques.
- Serve as a liaison and representative bridging Finance, Strategy, and external stakeholders related to the business.
- Communicate potential risks and contribute to formulating mitigation strategies to ensure the achievement of Technical Strategy goals for DSP and other strategic initiatives.
- Engage across complete process chains to pinpoint and capitalize on medium-to-large scale opportunities aimed at improving efficiency, quality, and productivity in support of DSP objectives.
- Function as subject matter expert connecting operations, finance, and strategy teams to optimize outcomes through analyzing performance trends and addressing improvement opportunities or concerns.
- Create and manage management reporting tools and schedules that enable clear data-centered evaluations and communication regarding the success of Technical projects.
- Assist in cultivating process improvement competencies within team members by providing coaching and guidance.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with at least six years of relevant professional experience; for Qatari nationals, a Bachelor's Degree is acceptable without previous experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI.
- Experience handling and analyzing large data sets.
- Ability to extract meaningful insights from data and deliver actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Skilled in preparing and presenting business performance reports to middle and senior management.
- Experienced in developing complex models and simulations to support decision-making.
