Job description
About remberg
remberg is a fast-scaling startup headquartered in Munich that builds AI-powered software to modernize the way industrial maintenance, service, and operations teams manage machinery, equipment, and other assets. Founded in 2018 as a spin-off from TU Munich and CDTM, the company has secured €28 million in funding from investors including Earlybird, Speedinvest, Fly Ventures, and angel backers such as the founders of Personio and Celonis. Its customer base includes more than 100 companies, among them Kärcher, OSRAM, Liqui Moly, Edding, and Knuspr, which collectively manage over 1 million asset types using the platform.
remberg works with organizations such as L'Oréal, Remondis, Würth, Edeka, and Rotkäppchen, and is backed by founders from companies like Celonis, Dash0, UiPath, Personio, and Forto, alongside investors such as Earlybird, Speedinvest, Oxx, Acton, and Fly Ventures. The company’s ambition is to become the leading European provider of modern, agentic maintenance software.
Role overview
In this senior business development role, you will do more than just build pipeline volume. You will run your own discovery conversations and often become the first person a prospect speaks to about the challenges they face. From the first outreach through to qualification, you’ll work closely with the Team Lead Sales Development, Head of Sales, and experienced Account Executives, taking ownership of your accounts and your approach from day one.
What you will do
- Serve as the first point of contact for prospects of the AI-driven maintenance platform, handling outreach and personally leading discovery calls to assess fit and business impact.
- Proactively source and qualify new leads, with a strong focus on decision-makers in industrial and manufacturing companies across the DACH region and increasingly in international markets.
- Advise prospects by understanding the day-to-day challenges of maintenance and operations teams and clearly explaining how remberg can help, without relying on shallow feature pitches.
- Contribute to go-to-market improvements by spotting ignored segments, ineffective outreach approaches, or inefficient workflows and addressing them proactively.
- Feed structured market insights back into the business to sharpen the ideal customer profile, positioning, and messaging.
What success in this role looks like
You will have a direct path toward an Account Executive role or another customer-facing position. Since discovery calls are a core part of the AE function, this role is designed to build that capability. Career growth is taken seriously, with feedback cycles every six months to help make your next step tangible and achievable.
What you bring
You should be resilient, goal-oriented, and willing to go the extra mile when needed. You are comfortable asking for feedback, bringing new ideas, and growing in a fast-changing environment. Integrity matters here: you follow through on commitments and contribute to a culture where clear, constructive feedback is part of everyday work. You also have practical experience in a customer-facing or sales role, ideally in B2B SaaS or solution sales for complex products. Fluency in German at C2 level and good English at B2 level, both spoken and written, are required.
In your daily work, you will use AI tools such as Claude for research, outreach, discovery preparation, and account analysis.
Perks and benefits
- Competitive compensation including salary, benefits, and equity, with annual compensation reviews.
- Modern tools and equipment to support an efficient working setup.
- Health and wellness support through Nilo Health, JobRad, and a choice between a GUUD card or Wellpass / Urban Sports Club for sports and fitness.
- Central Munich office near the main train station, with an active office culture and a three-days-per-week in-office setup.
- Remote work flexibility for up to three months per year.
- 30 vacation days in addition to a competitive pay package and other company benefits.
- €1,500 annual development budget plus one day of educational leave per year.
- One paid volunteering day each year to support a cause you care about.
Work setup
This is a full-time position based in Munich with a hybrid working model. The office is located in the heart of the city near the main railway station, and the team is expected in the office three days per week. Employees may work remotely for up to three months each year.
