About the Role
We are looking for an accomplished Business Analyst with strong digital platform experience to help shape and improve client-facing solutions in Wealth Management. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting, refining, and optimizing digital banking platforms and services that connect customer-facing channels with core wealth and trading systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Bring solid working knowledge of digital banking products, including mobile applications, internet banking, client onboarding, and self-service journeys.
- Use a strong understanding of financial products such as equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and structured products, along with their end-to-end trading flow across pre-trade, execution, and post-trade stages.
- Work with order and execution management systems, market data sources, and portfolio analytics tools within the wealth management space.
- Take ownership of the product lifecycle and make sure customer needs are addressed throughout.
- Review customer journeys across multiple platforms, collaborate with Regional Emerging Markets business stakeholders, identify current process gaps, and propose practical improvements.
- Shape requirements that are centered on customer experience, usability, and accessibility.
- Run workshops and brainstorming discussions with internal and external stakeholders, including business managers, relationship managers, legal and compliance teams, and operations teams, to gather and document detailed business needs.
- Use customer feedback, analytics, and market intelligence to suggest product enhancements and new capabilities.
- Assess alternative solutions against business objectives and advise the business on the best direction.
- Convert complex business issues into clear functional and non-functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with product managers, UX/UI designers, and technical architects to build innovative and scalable digital solutions.
- Use mockups and prototypes to present proposed solutions and collect stakeholder input.
- Prepare detailed test plans and test cases to confirm solutions meet business expectations and are defect-free.
- Support UAT activities, including user training and issue triage.
- Serve as a central contact throughout the end-to-end development process, clarifying requirements and providing domain expertise.
- Keep stakeholders informed about project progress, risks, and issues.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with business users, technology teams, and external vendors.
- Help guide decision-making and resolve disagreements when they arise.
- Produce and update documentation such as functional specifications, process maps, user guides, and training resources.
- Train and support end users and internal teams on new functionality.
- Research the market to spot emerging trends, innovation opportunities, and feature gaps.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in a technology environment as a functional Business Analyst within Wealth Management.
- Hands-on expertise with digital banking applications, especially internet banking and mobile apps supporting transactional banking, access management, and trade services.
- Strong knowledge of banking business processes and products in the wealth management domain.
- Deep understanding of financial instruments, asset classes, and investment strategies.
- Exposure to core banking platforms such as Avaloq or T24 is a plus; familiarity with Margin Man is also beneficial.
- Awareness of regulatory requirements that affect client reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to work across all management levels.
- Working knowledge of APIs and integration patterns used in financial systems.
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
