Job description
Primary Purpose of the Job
This position is responsible for the meticulous preparation and ongoing management of departmental budgets. The role involves vigilant monitoring of expenditures, generating comprehensive financial reports, and implementing strategies for effective cost control throughout the fiscal year.
Required Experience and Skills
A minimum of 4 years of progressive experience is required, with a strong preference for roles in budgeting, costing, and planning within the oil and gas sector. This should include at least 3 years in a commercial capacity focused on cost management and planning. Proficiency in SAP is advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate strong PC skills, including practical experience with software such as MS Word, MS Excel, and BI analytics tools.
Educational Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is mandatory. Professional certifications such as CIMA, CPA, or equivalent are highly recommended, as are advanced qualifications in Professional Accounting, Cost Engineering, and Systems Analysis.
