Role Overview
The Senior Brand Manager role, located on-site in Auckland Central, is a full-time position tasked with steering brand strategies and execution across Planet Fun’s extensive portfolio of toy brands. Responsibilities encompass crafting and implementing brand plans, spearheading product launches, and driving marketing campaigns designed to elevate brand visibility, consumer demand, and sustained brand equity.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze market conditions and consumer insights to guide brand strategies.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams and retail partners to align marketing efforts.
- Manage creative agencies by providing clear briefs and overseeing deliverables.
- Monitor brand performance relative to commercial objectives.
- Ensure unified go-to-market strategies and coherent brand narratives across channels.
- Manage budgets and prepare reports detailing brand progress and outcomes.
- Mentor junior marketing staff, fostering professional development and supporting team success.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven track record in brand management, product marketing, or FMCG/consumer goods sectors, with preference towards toys, entertainment, or related fields.
- Expertise in leveraging market research and consumer data to drive brand and campaign decision-making.
- Experience planning and executing integrated campaigns across digital, social, retail, and experiential platforms.
- Strong project management capabilities, including cross-team coordination, timeline adherence, and budget oversight.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, enabling influence both internally and with external partners.
- Experience managing retail and distributor relationships to enhance brand presence both in-store and online.
- Able to thrive in a fast-moving environment, blending strategic foresight with practical problem-solving and execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience providing guidance and mentorship to team members while promoting a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
