Senior Azure Cloud Solution Architect

Role Overview

Ideal Solutions is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Solution Architect to strengthen its IT team and help expand its Microsoft Azure, enterprise, and cloud solution capabilities. The position suits a professional who brings deep Azure architecture knowledge together with client-facing communication, delivery support, and presales participation.

Work Location and Schedule

The role is based in Doha, Qatar. Working hours are Sunday to Thursday, from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The setup is office-based, with periodic visits to client locations.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will design secure, scalable, and governed Azure solutions for enterprise and government clients. The role also involves creating and improving Azure Landing Zones, governance structures, RBAC, policies, and security controls, along with handling identity, networking, connectivity, resilience, backup, disaster recovery, and operational readiness topics.

In addition, the architect will prepare architecture documentation, technical standards, implementation guidance, and handover materials. Support for Azure-hosted applications, integrations, data, analytics, and AI-related workloads may also be required when relevant.

The position includes presales involvement such as client meetings, technical workshops, RFP and RFI reviews, solution framing, and effort estimation. Close collaboration with internal teams is expected to ensure technically sound and high-quality delivery.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant should have at least 5 years of total IT experience and a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in Microsoft Azure architecture and implementation. Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure Landing Zones, governance, networking, security, identity, monitoring, backup, and resilience is essential.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep, ARM Templates, or Terraform is required. The role also calls for confident communication skills and the ability to handle client-facing technical discussions effectively. Prior exposure to presales, architecture conversations, and technical workshops will be highly valued.

Certifications

Azure certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-104, AZ-500, SC-300, and AZ-400 are considered a strong plus.

Additional Notes

This opportunity is intended for professionals who want to contribute to Azure architecture capability building, enterprise-grade delivery, and impactful Microsoft cloud engagements. Preference will be given to candidates who apply early and meet the required Azure experience. Only applicants currently based in Qatar with a valid QID are eligible.
