Job Overview

Take charge of managing clinical cases and delivering expert medical services within Aviation Medicine, ensuring that aircrew receive optimal care in line with regulatory mandates and global best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized medical care adhering to HAAD and Civil Aviation standards to confirm aircrew's fitness to fly and uphold care quality.
• Address and manage medical emergencies within the Medical Centre, providing essential care to maintain patient safety and health.
• Engage in review and strategic planning of specialist services at the Medical Centre to enhance operational performance.
• Participate in audits mandated by Health and Aviation Authorities to guarantee compliance with licensure obligations.
• Gather and analyze data from specialist services to generate insights for management review.
• Support the development of policies and directives concerning aviation and preventive medicine to ensure service consistency and regulatory alignment.
• Collaborate with strategic healthcare partners to create clinical care pathways that enable seamless aircrew services.
• Offer general medical consultations when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least a Diploma (minimum 2 years) in Medicine, complemented by a postgraduate qualification in Aviation Medicine recognized by the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi.
• Possession of a valid HAAD license to practice within the specialist area.
• A minimum of 10 years’ overall relevant work experience; including at least 5 years in aviation medicine within clinical or hospital settings subsequent to higher qualification.
• Strong understanding of HAAD and GCAA regulations and standards.
