Role Summary
This role sits within the Capital Markets Client Solutions team in Singapore. It is a new-business hunting position centred on acquiring clients in the financial institutions, fintech, brokerage, exchange, asset management, trading, and digital asset segments. The person in this role will create pipeline, engage prospects, assess opportunities, support commercial conversations, and help move clients from first contact through onboarding and launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source new business opportunities within the capital markets segment.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline through research, referrals, events, direct outreach, email, and professional networking.
- Identify the right decision-makers in target organisations and build relevant account maps.
- Run discovery conversations to understand a client’s business model, FX and payment flows, pain points, and revenue potential.
- Present M-DAQ’s FX and payments offerings to potential clients in a compelling way.
- Handle meetings, proposals, pricing conversations, and commercial negotiations.
- Collaborate with product, treasury, compliance, operations, onboarding, and client experience teams to ensure opportunities progress to go-live.
- Keep CRM records current, including pipeline status, meeting summaries, and next-step actions.
- Monitor industry movement, competitor activity, and client requirements to surface new revenue possibilities.
- Own sales execution, pipeline conversion, and contribution to revenue from newly acquired clients.
Desired Profile
- A degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Marketing, or a closely related subject is preferred.
- Two to three years of experience in B2B sales, business development, account/relationship management, or another client-facing function within financial services, fintech, payments, FX, capital markets, or digital assets.
- Solid interest in and understanding of FX solutions, including vanilla and derivative products, cross-border payments, treasury processes, or digital asset market structure.
- A commercially minded, goal-driven, resilient, and self-starting professional who is comfortable with outbound selling and new customer acquisition.
- Strong verbal and presentation abilities, with confidence speaking to external stakeholders and handling cold outreach or rejection.
- Sound knowledge of institutional or corporate sales processes, from prospecting and discovery through proposals, negotiation, and onboarding.
- Organised, analytical, proactive, and disciplined in following up, updating CRM systems, and tracking sales activity.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM platforms such as HubSpot, and sales engagement tools would be beneficial.
