About the Role
Join PwC India's Advisory line of service in their Fraud, Investigations and Regulatory Enforcement (FIRE) division, focused on Operations within the Financial Services cross-sector. This role as a Senior Associate involves supporting clients in identifying vulnerabilities by investigating fraud, regulatory breaches, and other irregularities to design effective risk management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate corporate irregularities, whistleblower claims, asset misappropriation, regulatory violations, intellectual property infringements, and financial reporting fraud.
- Conduct thorough Institutional KYC processes, including end-to-end KYC for private and listed clients.
- Screen and analyze financial institutions, including banks, FIs, NBFCs, and SPVs, adding necessary supplementary documentation.
- Identify and assess high-risk products and perform analysis of Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBO) and Interested Beneficial Owners (IBO).
- Execute sanctions screening and politically exposed persons (PEP) screening protocols.
- Engage in client outreach to facilitate investigations and compliance efforts.
- Understand various roles such as Account Signatories, Account Providers, and Money Laundering Reporting Officers.
- Classify customers' risk levels by evaluating risk pillars and additional/per se risk factors during review cycles.
- Apply PEP due diligence beyond basic screening, including RCA PEP analysis.
- Manage screening hit disposition and mitigation procedures.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum of three years experience in Institutional KYC processes.
- Practical knowledge of dealing with entities like financial institutions, NBFCs, and SPVs.
- Expertise in handling additional documentation for screening financial entities.
- Competence in sanctions and PEP screening methodologies.
- Strong understanding of client risk classification and due diligence mechanisms.
