Role Overview

This position involves managing interactions with employees and internal partners concerning employee grievances, exit formalities, and National Service issues. The incumbent ensures compliance with company policies while facilitating effective service delivery related to these matters. They play a pivotal role in managing employee relations cases and sustaining service excellence throughout the employee lifecycle by applying subject matter expertise and collaborating across functions to support organizational goals and promote a high-performing, engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all activities linked to Employee Advocacy, including grievances, exit interviews, and National Service concerns.
  • Assist in preparing grievance cases, participating in reviews, and conducting necessary interviews.
  • Offer guidance, assistance, and advice to employees regarding workplace issues.
  • Coordinate dispute resolution services such as mediation, conciliation, negotiation, and facilitation as needed.
  • Support and conduct sensitive employee investigations, ensuring confidentiality, objectivity, and adherence to policies and laws.
  • Establish reliable relationships with employees and internal stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Technical Expertise

  • Advise Mubadala and affiliated entities on Employee Advocacy matters, sharing best practices to align with business goals.
  • Utilize insights into employee behavior and workplace dynamics to manage sensitive employee issues and recommend effective resolutions.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay current with leading trends and innovations in Employee Advocacy to enhance Mubadala's processes and employee experience.
  • Analyze data such as employee feedback, grievance patterns, exit interview results, and National Service information to identify patterns and suggest improvements.
  • Spot opportunities for employee wellbeing and engagement initiatives tailored to organizational needs.

Policies, Systems, and Processes

  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, policies, and processes based on international best practices to boost efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide critical input for the development of policies and procedures adapting to evolving business needs and workforce demands.
  • Recommend enhancements to Employee Advocacy frameworks and guidance reflecting employee insights and current workplace trends.

Reporting and Related Duties

  • Prepare timely, accurate functional reports and dashboards aligned with Mubadala’s standards and reporting schedules.
  • Carry out additional tasks or projects as directed by the Director of Talent Relations.

Authority and Decision-Making

  • Make recommendations on employee relations issues for approval and escalation where needed.
  • Provide dispute resolution support and guidance within defined HR policies and processes.
  • Contribute to ongoing enhancement of relevant policies, processes, and operational frameworks.
  • Coordinate and conduct mediation, negotiation, and conciliation following organizational protocols.
  • Handle routine reporting independently within the role’s scope.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional HR certifications such as CIPD, SHRM, or equivalents are advantageous.
  • At least five years of progressive experience in Human Resources with a focus on Employee Advocacy.
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English (spoken and written) is essential.
  • Preferably possess experience working within large, complex organizations or across multiple industries.
