Senior Architect - BIM Manager (Qatar)

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Architect and BIM Manager to spearhead the Building Information Modeling processes across multidisciplinary projects at our Doha office. This pivotal role entails setting BIM standards, liaising with diverse stakeholders, and ensuring seamless design outcomes that align with project specifications, international norms, and local legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the formulation, execution, and enforcement of BIM standards, workflows, and strategic execution plans across projects.
• Serve as the chief BIM authority for architectural disciplines, guaranteeing adherence to internal, client, and project-specific BIM requirements.
• Develop and oversee BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), Model Responsibility Matrices, and BIM protocols.
• Manage model coordination activities including clash detection and resolving design conflicts collaboratively with structural, MEP, and infrastructure teams.
• Supervise architectural BIM models throughout all design phases from concept to construction.
• Assure architectural outputs conform to local regulations and international standards.
• Critically assess models, drawings, and deliverables to uphold quality, precision, and buildability.
• Provide robust technical guidance during design advancements and problem-solving.
• Facilitate coordination efforts among internal teams and external consultants to ensure integrated BIM workflows.
• Engage with clients, project managers, and stakeholders regarding BIM matters, reporting progress and updates.
• Lead, mentor, and support BIM architects and modelers, promoting task allocation and performance monitoring.
• Conduct training sessions to enhance BIM digital practices continuously.
• Implement quality assurance and control procedures for BIM artifacts.
• Stay abreast of evolving BIM technologies, software enhancements, and industry best practices.
• Champion automation, template creation, and process improvements to elevate project efficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture (Bachelor's required; Master's advantageous).
• 10 to 15 years of architectural design experience with extensive BIM practice.
• At least 5 years serving as BIM Manager or BIM Lead on medium to large projects.
• Proven experience across multifaceted sectors including residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, healthcare, and infrastructure projects.
• High proficiency in Revit; solid skills in Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM 360/ACC.
• Strong command of BIM coordination, clash detection, and ISO 19650 standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Detail-conscious with strong client service orientation.
• Fluency in English required; Arabic knowledge is an advantage.
• Candidates based in Qatar are preferred.
