Senior Analyst/Specialist Business Risk - Investment Banking Operations

About the Role

This full-time position is based in Bengaluru within a prestigious global investment bank's operations risk and controls division. The role is ideal for professionals with a background in internal audit, operational risk, and investment banking operations, particularly those experienced in middle and back office functions, reconciliations, and controls testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct second-level controls and internal audit activities within banking operations.
• Perform controls testing and assurance to ensure adherence to operational risk frameworks.
• Engage with areas such as middle office, trade support, settlements, asset servicing, and collateral management to monitor and mitigate risks.
• Manage reconciliation processes, including cash, position, trade, and nostro reconciliations.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across teams to ensure robust risk controls and compliance.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Three to twelve years of relevant experience, segmented into 3-6 years for Specialist roles and 6-12 years for Senior Analyst positions.
• Strong domain expertise in banking, investment banking, capital markets, or securities services.
• Proven track record in internal audits, operational audits, control assurance, or risk and controls reviews.
• In-depth knowledge of operational risk and control frameworks within financial services.
• Hands-on experience with various reconciliation processes such as cash, position, trade, and nostro reconciliations.
• Familiarity with middle office or back office operations and collateral management is advantageous.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
