Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Accountant position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for handling daily accounting operations, keeping the general ledger accurate, posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts. It also covers monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing activities, preparation of financial statements and management reports, and support for budgeting and forecasting. The position further requires cash flow monitoring, management of payables and receivables, adherence to applicable accounting standards and Saudi regulations, and support for audits and tax submissions. In addition, the role contributes to stronger internal controls, improved accounting processes, and financial analysis that helps guide business decisions through collaboration with other teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage everyday accounting tasks and keep ledger records accurate and up to date.
- Prepare and post journal entries and complete account reconciliations.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles.
- Draft financial statements and management reporting packs.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning work.
- Track cash flow and oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and local Saudi regulatory requirements.
- Support audit preparation and tax filing activities.
- Strengthen internal controls and help refine accounting workflows.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver financial insights for decision-making.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Solid grounding in financial accounting and reporting, including ledger maintenance and statement preparation.
- Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning.
- Working knowledge of payables, receivables, bank reconciliations, and cash management.
- Familiarity with Saudi accounting rules and local compliance requirements, including audit and tax support.
- Advanced ability with accounting software and ERP platforms, plus strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Experience with Odoo.
- Strong accuracy, organization, and the ability to juggle several priorities in a busy environment.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with finance and non-finance teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA, CMA, or SOCPA certification is a plus.
- Prior experience in a senior or supervisory accounting position, ideally in retail, fashion, or consumer brands.
- High integrity, good judgment with confidential information, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement.
