Senior Accountant (Remote)

Role Overview

We are searching for a seasoned Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations within a remote team. This role emphasizes precision and operational efficiency, involving responsibilities such as managing month-end closing procedures, preparing journal entries, conducting account reconciliations, handling consolidation across multiple entities, and maintaining schedules for fixed assets. The position also requires supporting external audit processes, collaborating with various departments for financial analysis, mentoring junior personnel, and championing improvements in accounting processes.

Qualifications & Skills

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the payments sector.
• Demonstrated proficiency in executing month-end closures, preparing journal entries, and generating financial reports.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and reporting standards.
• Advanced capabilities in Excel along with working knowledge of NetSuite or equivalent enterprise financial systems.
• Highly detail-focused, well-organized, and able to meet strict deadlines in dynamic settings.
• Strong communication and leadership skills paired with proactive problem-solving aptitude.
