Role overview
Al Waha For Cars is seeking an experienced, detail-focused accountant to oversee financial records, keep transaction processing accurate, and contribute to day-to-day finance operations. The role requires at least 5 years of hands-on accounting experience and solid knowledge of reporting, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger work.
Responsibilities
- Keep financial books and supporting accounting documents accurate and up to date.
- Produce financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Carry out reconciliations for banks, vendors, customers, and balance sheet accounts.
- Handle accounts payable tasks such as checking invoices, processing payments, and reconciling supplier accounts.
- Manage accounts receivable activities including invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliation.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring transactions are recorded correctly.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Track cash movements and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Make sure accounting work follows internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory rules.
- Work with auditors and share required financial information during audits.
- Spot, investigate, and resolve discrepancies or irregularities in accounts.
- Prepare journal entries and contribute to financial analysis when needed.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 5 years of verified experience in accounting and finance.
- Strong working knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, AP, AR, and general ledger accounting.
- Ability to use accounting software and Microsoft Excel effectively.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Strong analytical thinking, organization, and problem-solving ability.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and deliver within deadlines.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage.
