Job description
Role Overview
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for accurately recording and managing all accounting transactions including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, and journal entries. This position demands maintaining comprehensive books of accounts with all necessary support documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and post accounting entries relating to sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, and journals.
- Maintain organized and complete accounting books along with relevant supporting documents.
- Enter invoices, bills, expenses, and all other financial transactions with precision.
- Ensure classification of all entries aligns correctly and is substantiated by documentation.
- Support the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Assist in preparing GST calculations and filing GST returns.
- Reconcile purchase records accurately against GSTR-2B data.
- Verify and confirm eligible Input Tax Credit (ITC) claims.
- Support the compilation of GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B returns data.
- Maintain well-organized GST-related records and their supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with the Senior Accountant or external consultants to resolve any GST-related queries.
