About the Company and Position
FRAND is a company engaged in importing and distributing food products, seeking a skilled Senior Accountant & Finance Supervisor to join its team in Jeddah. The ideal candidate will demonstrate solid hands-on experience in accounting and financial oversight, capable of handling monthly closing activities, cash flow management, inventory control, banking operations, and financing tasks. Additionally, the role requires preparing clear financial analyses that assist management in decision-making.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting operations including review of journal entries, invoices, payments, and collections.
- Manage the monthly closing process and produce as well as assess financial statements.
- Prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Develop weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts, detecting cash shortages and forthcoming obligations.
- Monitor bank accounts, credit lines, financing terms, installments, interests, fees, and due dates.
- Coordinate financing documentation and operational communication with banks and financial institutions.
- Conduct and verify reconciliations for bank, customer, supplier, tax, and suspense accounts.
- Review inventory counts, stock variance, cost of goods sold, and landed costs per shipment.
- Analyze sales and profitability by brand, product, customer, and sales channels.
- Evaluate discounts, commissions, selling expenses, and rebates along with their effects on profitability.
- Generate financial and management reports, analyze deviations and risks, and offer strategic recommendations to management.
- Ensure VAT compliance, adherence to electronic invoicing, and other regulatory requirements.
- Supervise an accounting data-entry employee, ensuring accuracy and completeness of their work.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least five years of practical experience in accounting and financial supervision.
- Previous experience as a Senior Accountant or equivalent supervisory position.
- Preferably experienced in FMCG, food products, import operations, and distribution sectors.
- Strong capabilities in monthly closing, financial statement preparation, cash flow management, inventory and cost of goods sold, as well as banking and financing operations.
- Good knowledge of VAT and accounting regulations applicable in Saudi Arabia.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Zoho Books, Zoho Inventory, or equivalent ERP systems.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Expertise in financial analysis, identifying discrepancies, and preparing reports.
Preferred Certifications
- CMA (Certified Management Accountant) highly regarded.
- VAT Specialist certification preferred.
- Professional qualifications or training in IFRS valued.
- SOCPA fellowship or ACCA qualifications considered additional advantages.
Additional Information
Preference will be given to candidates with a proven background in FMCG products, inventory, cash flow management, and monthly closing procedures, along with relevant professional certifications.
