Role Overview

This full-time Senior Accountant position is based on-site in Dubai and involves managing daily accounting tasks including general ledger oversight, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, plus month-end and year-end closing activities. The role requires preparing and reviewing financial statements on monthly, quarterly, and annual bases, handling budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring adherence to UAE accounting standards, tax laws, and strong internal controls. Additionally, the person will monitor cash flow, analyze financial results for multiple restaurant sites, and provide insightful financial analyses to aid management decisions. Collaboration with operations, management teams, and external auditors is key, along with driving process improvements to enhance financial systems and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proficient in general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost control within multi-location hospitality or restaurant settings.
• Thorough knowledge of UAE accounting standards, VAT regulations, and compliance with internal controls.
• Advanced expertise in accounting software, ERP systems, with strong Excel skills for financial data analysis and modeling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines; professional certifications like CPA, ACCA or CMA are preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational skills with strong attention to detail under deadlines.
• Clear communication skills for presenting financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to work on-site in a dynamic environment, handle multiple tasks, and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Previous senior accounting experience, ideally in UAE's F&B, hospitality or retail sectors.
• Experience with SAP or Focus software is advantageous.
• Familiarity with delivery aggregator business models is an asset.

Compensation

The position offers a monthly salary of AED 8000.
