Senior Accountant

About the Role

A well-established entity is looking to enhance its finance team by hiring a Senior Accountant dedicated to ensuring precise financial reporting and fostering financial discipline and operational excellence throughout the company.

Responsibilities

• Compile financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Examine accounting records prepared by junior team members.
• Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations.
• Track cash flow and manage working capital effectively.
• Contribute to the planning and budgeting processes.
• Facilitate requirements for external audits.
• Ensure adherence to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal accounting policies.
• Create management reports and perform financial data analyses.
• Assist with tax filings and compliance with regulatory mandates.
• Recognize and recommend enhancements for financial processes.

Qualifications

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Have a minimum of five years of relevant experience in accounting roles.
• Demonstrate solid understanding of IFRS guidelines.
• Expertise in preparing comprehensive financial statements.
• Strong abilities in analysis and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with ERP software systems.
• Holding professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or similar is advantageous.
• Proficient communication skills in English.
