Role Summary

The company is looking for a seasoned accounting professional to strengthen its finance function. This position centers on GST compliance, TDS handling, and MIS reporting, along with broader support for financial reporting and controls.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for managing indirect tax compliance, maintaining accurate accounting records, and producing management reports that support business decisions. The role also involves collaborating across departments, reviewing financial processes, and helping improve the overall control environment.

  • Oversee GST compliance, including on-time return preparation and filing, reconciliation with books of account, and adherence to applicable laws and guidance.
  • Take charge of TDS compliance by ensuring correct deduction, timely payment, and accurate return filing in line with prescribed rules and rates.
  • Prepare, review, and interpret MIS reports that highlight financial performance, trends, and key business indicators.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets while ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accounting requirements.
  • Perform routine audits and checks on financial data, transactions, and workflows to spot discrepancies, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with teams across Finance, Operations, and Compliance to resolve accounting matters and support business initiatives.
  • Keep track of updates in tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to GST, TDS, and financial reporting.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members to build capability and support their professional growth.

Qualifications

The role calls for a finance professional with solid hands-on experience in accounting operations and tax compliance. The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and handling multiple priorities with accuracy.

  • CA Inter or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • At least 4 years of experience in accounting or finance, specifically covering GST compliance, TDS management, and MIS reporting.
  • Strong working knowledge of GST provisions, including return filing and reconciliation processes.
  • Good understanding of TDS rules, deduction procedures, payment timelines, and return compliance.
  • Advanced capability in MIS reporting, Microsoft Excel, and financial modeling techniques.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and sound judgment when dealing with financial data.
  • Clear communication and people skills to work effectively with colleagues across levels and functions.
  • Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to manage several tasks simultaneously under deadlines.

Additional Information

This is a full-time onsite position based in Mumbai, India. The compensation offered for this role is INR 1,50,000 to INR 3,50,000 per year.
