Role Summary

This position oversees accounting procedures to ensure financial statements comply with local GAAP. The role entails supervising the closing process, posting necessary journal entries, assisting with statutory reporting and audit requirements, and preparing reconciliations between local GAAP and IFRS. The Senior Accountant also reinforces process controls and supports quarterly financial certifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement accounting workflows ensuring adherence to local GAAP.
  • Oversee month-end closing and adjust the local ledger with accurate journal entries.
  • Assist the company in fulfilling regional and international regulatory compliance.
  • Enhance control measures to maintain the integrity of quarterly financial certifications.
  • Develop monthly financial reports and analytical tools to facilitate in-depth, risk-based financial analysis.
  • Prepare and finalize statutory financial statements on schedule and facilitate audits.
  • Manage accounting close cycles at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
  • Review and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, roll-forwards, and comprehensive month-end reports.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years relevant accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • Experience gained at a Big 4 accounting firm and CPA certification is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-evolving environments.
  • Work independently with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication — both verbal and written.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong customer orientation.
  • Comfortable collaborating with diverse, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Familiarity with SAP General Ledger systems and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint are beneficial.
