Job description

Role Overview

Jacob Media is hiring a Senior Account Director to lead the social always-on account for a major global hospitality brand and its portfolio of hotel brands. This is a senior client-facing and creative operations role for someone who can keep a large, fast-moving account organized, calm, and consistently ahead of the curve.

The work centers on building and running the agency’s social AOR practice, starting with its largest client as the core account. You will serve as the main client contact while coordinating strategy, content, community, analytics, and delivery across a lean team that produces up to 50 assets each month across six platforms.

This engagement starts as a 1099 independent contractor arrangement through December 31, 2026, with a conversion to a full-time W-2 position expected when the partnership renews in 2027. The role is remote, but candidates must be based in the US and available during US working hours.

About Jacob Media

Jacob Media is a social-first storytelling studio made up of creatives, strategists, and producers who build brand stories through social, culture, and audience insight. The team operates as a true extension of a brand’s in-house function and works with premium names across luxury, travel, and lifestyle categories. With teams based between Los Angeles and Dubai, the company is intentionally lean so it can move quickly and set trends rather than follow them.

What You’ll Do

You will act as the senior lead on the account, guiding client partnership, creative operations, performance reporting, and team coordination. The role requires a mix of strategic thinking, strong organization, and the ability to keep quality high while moving quickly.

First 90 Days

  • Take ownership of the client relationship and become the primary day-to-day contact.
  • Establish the working rhythm for the account, including status meetings, approval flows, and weekly and monthly reporting.
  • Align the creative, social, community, and analytics functions so they operate as one coordinated team against the content calendar.
  • Deliver the first complete cycles of always-on content and build reporting that clearly demonstrates the model’s value.
  • Document and refine account processes so they can be applied to future clients as the agency grows.

Account Leadership and Client Partnership

You will lead the relationship with professionalism, strategic judgment, and steady communication, while keeping the long-term health of the account in focus.

Content Strategy and Creative Oversight

You will help guide monthly and quarterly content planning, ensure each asset fits the platform and brand, and coordinate with creative leadership and creator partners to keep output aligned with expectations.

Team Leadership and Operations

You will manage and motivate a multidisciplinary team of 10+ people, clarify ownership across functions, and contribute to hiring, onboarding, and culture-building from the ground up.

Performance and Reporting

You will work with analytics and strategy partners to define meaningful KPIs, turn results into client-ready insights, and maintain visibility into budget, resourcing, and scope so the account stays efficient and profitable.

Building the Social AOR Practice

You will help design the operating system for the agency’s social AOR offering, including workflows, templates, approval structures, publishing systems, and internal playbooks. You will also support leadership on positioning and pitch messaging for this service line.

Employment Details

  • Coverage: lead account responsibilities for a flagship loyalty brand and its hotel portfolio.
  • Commitment: approximately 50 hours per week.
  • Rate: $80 per hour.
  • Start: immediate.
  • Initial structure: 1099 contract through December 2026.
  • Planned transition: full-time W-2 role when the partnership renews in 2027.
  • Location: remote within the United States.
  • Working hours: US hours required.
  • Openings: 1.

What You Bring

Ideally, you have substantial agency account leadership experience and a track record of handling premium global brands, especially in hospitality, travel, or luxury. You should be comfortable managing high-volume always-on social work, leading cross-functional teams, and staying composed when priorities shift quickly.

Bonus Experience

  • Prior relationships within hospitality or travel marketing.
  • Experience working across multiple global regions and time zones, including Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas.
  • Background in launching account operations or a new agency service offering.

Fine Print

This position is structured as an independent contractor engagement, which means you will invoice the company directly, handle your own taxes and insurance, and provide your own equipment. The role is remote, but availability during US working hours is required for day-to-day account coverage.

The company is being transparent that the current engagement is staffed through the end of 2026, with the expectation of conversion in 2027 if the partnership renews. The account is considered a key long-term priority, and this role is central to its success.

Who This Role Suits

This opportunity is best for a senior account leader who enjoys building systems, managing client relationships, and bringing structure to complex, high-visibility social programs. It will suit someone who can balance strategic oversight with operational execution and who wants to help shape how a growing agency runs its account function.
