Role overview

The Internal Security Department (ISD) works to protect Singapore’s internal security and overall stability. For more than 75 years, ISD and its predecessor bodies have been at the forefront of guarding the country against threats from foreign subversive groups, espionage, racial and religious extremism, and terrorism. This role is part of that mission and offers the chance to contribute to Singapore’s safety, security, and sovereignty.

What you will do

• Review and screen application cases, carry out data checks, and make sure all actions align with policy requirements.
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders to exchange information, respond to queries, and help close cases efficiently.
• Support a senior executive in handling investigation-related matters.
• Take part in projects that improve operational efficiency through smarter workflows and digital solutions.

What the employer is looking for

The ideal candidate should hold a Diploma, Higher Nitec, or an equivalent qualification, preferably in a field that builds critical thinking skills. Strong written and verbal communication, sound interpersonal ability, and a collaborative mindset are important. The role also requires comfort with Microsoft Office and basic digital tools, while data analytics skills would be a plus. A naturally curious attitude and interest in innovation are highly valued.
