Security Officer

Overview

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join their team located in Dubai, UAE. The role involves patrolling property areas, monitoring security systems, responding to emergencies, and assisting guests and employees to ensure safety and security across the property.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Patrol all property areas and aid guests with room access issues.
• Continuously monitor CCTV systems, perimeter alarms, duress alarms, and fire safety equipment.
• Secure entrances by locking as needed.
• Perform daily inspections to identify physical hazards.
• Respond promptly to accidents, administer first aid/CPR, and contact emergency medical services when necessary.
• Assist guests and staff during emergency situations and manage disturbances.
• Notify the relevant parties about accidents, attacks, or other incidents promptly.
• Manage guest and employee conflicts effectively, calling for additional help if required.
• Record detailed incident reports for all security and loss prevention events.
• Defuse safety hazard situations and escort unauthorized persons off the premises tactfully without disrupting operations.
• Attend scenes of vehicle accidents or thefts and call for assistance using appropriate codes.
• Complete daily loss prevention shift summaries and activity reports.
• Maintain strict confidentiality for all security, loss prevention documentation, and company proprietary information, releasing it only to authorized personnel.
• Conduct investigations and evidence gathering, including interviewing involved parties.
• Comply fully with company policies, report unsafe conditions to management, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain professional appearance and uphold high standards of guest interaction, aiding guests with disabilities and anticipating service needs.
• Communicate professionally both verbally and in writing; demonstrate strong teamwork and relationship building to meet shared objectives.
• Adhere to quality assurance standards and sustain physical fitness to perform prolonged periods of standing, walking, or sitting, as well as lifting or carrying objects of varying weights with or without assistance.
• Navigate confined spaces, stairs, ramps, and uneven surfaces safely while performing duties.
• Execute additional reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior work or supervisory experience is necessary.
• No specific licenses or certifications required.
