Security Officer - Rotational Day and Night Shift with $3,000 Sign-On Bonus

Role Overview

We are looking for a committed Data Centre Security Officer based in Darwin, NT, to protect critical assets and maintain a safe environment. This position involves working rotating 12-hour shifts (day and night) on a 4 days on, 4 days off roster. Your role as the first line of defense will involve protecting sensitive information and premises by actively monitoring security and responding efficiently to incidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Control access by permitting only authorized individuals into restricted areas to ensure security.
• Monitor various security systems, including Class 5 and duress alarms, and portal resets, reacting promptly to alarms and incidents.
• Serve as first responder in emergencies, provide First Aid if needed, and coordinate until additional help arrives.
• Conduct on-foot and CCTV patrols to detect and mitigate potential security risks.
• Prepare detailed shift reports and ensure smooth handover to maintain operational continuity.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold current NV1 security clearance.
• Australian citizenship with full working rights in the Northern Territory required.
• Possession of a valid Security License (Class 1A or equivalent).
• Excellent communication, observation, and customer service capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in high-pressure environments, effectively resolve conflicts, and maintain accurate records.
• Demonstrated punctuality, responsibility, and commitment to safety standards and regulations.

Additional Information

The role offers a competitive pay rate between $30.23 and $60.46 per hour. There is a $3,000 sign-on bonus available for full-time NV1 cleared officers, paid in two installments: $1,500 after 6 months and another $1,500 after 12 months of successful service.
