About the role
Securitas Germany is looking for a part-time security officer in Dresden to work as a relief guard for customer assignments. The position requires at least the formal qualification under Section 34a of the German Trade, Commerce and Industry Regulation Act (GewO). Work is scheduled across Monday to Sunday, including public holidays, with both day and night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Protect sites proactively by taking preventive action across different posts and task areas.
- Be the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and employees.
- Carry out regular patrols, including condition checks and locking/unlocking duties inside and outside the premises.
- Respond appropriately to incidents such as break-ins, damage, or vandalism.
- Handle reception and front desk duties when assigned.
- Cover gate and access control duties.
Requirements
- At least the IHK qualification under Section 34a GewO.
- Very good German and English skills, spoken and written, at least B2 level.
- Willingness to work shifts, including weekends.
- Strong customer-service orientation and a high standard of personal service.
- Empathy and the ability to enforce rules consistently.
- Calm and composed behavior even in stressful situations.
- First-aid responder qualification.
- Must have lived in Germany for at least 5 years.
- No criminal record or relevant entries in the background check.
Working conditions
The role is offered on a part-time basis with a working volume of 80 to 140 hours. Shifts can include daytime and nighttime duty from Monday through Sunday, including holidays. The employer highlights predictable working hours and fixed rosters.
Pay and benefits
- Starting pay from EUR 15.15 per hour, with on-time payment under the BDSW collective agreement and depending on the assignment location.
- Tax-free shift allowances under the BDSW agreement: 10% for night work, 25% for Sunday work, and 50% for work on nationwide public holidays.
