Security Guard

Overview

Apex Security Inc. is hiring a full-time Security Guard for work at its Grande Prairie, Alberta location. This role is based entirely on-site at the physical workplace, with no remote option.

Language

English is required for this position.

Education

You should have completed secondary school and hold a high school graduation certificate.

Experience

Prior experience is not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered an asset.

Work Environment

• On-site role only; the job must be performed in person.
• Outdoor duties are part of the position.
• You may work in all weather conditions.
• The workplace setting is a private security agency.

What You Will Do

• Support clients and guests who have special requirements.
• Apply rules and procedures to keep order, handle conflicts, and observe site activity.
• Use security control room equipment as needed.
• Carry out patrols in designated areas.
• Collect and transport cash and other valuables.
• Help deter, identify, and respond to shoplifting and theft in retail environments.

Credentials

A valid Class 5/5F/G licence is required for operating cars, small trucks, and other two-axle vehicles.
