Key Responsibilities

• Carry out SOC and SecOps maturity gap analyses, identify associated risks, and propose suitable mitigation strategies.
• Lead the design and implementation of on-premises and co-managed Advanced Security Operations Centers (SOCs) encompassing people, processes, and technology controls.
• Provide advisory services on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) within SOC frameworks, including development of policies, procedures, standards, and best practices.
• Apply practical expertise with MITRE ATT&CK framework in security operations contexts.
• Utilize knowledge of Zero Trust Security models and architecture relevant to SOC environments.
• Work with technologies and concepts including SASE, PAM, SOAR, XDR, alongside industry-standard security controls.
• Engage in pre-sales activities related to SecOps, SOAR, SIEM, and Cyber Fusion SOC projects.
• Apply an understanding of security risk and control frameworks such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF).
• Contribute to security consulting pre-sales tasks such as drafting statements of work (SoWs) and proposals.
• Continuously update skills through learning, re-learning, and adapting to maintain success in the role and support the wider security consulting practice.
• Analyze customer business processes and technical environments to provide actionable consultancy.
• Provide practical advice to clients on closing technology control gaps and vulnerabilities.
• Ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery of consulting projects with high client satisfaction.
• Collaborate closely with clients on multiple security consulting engagements, managing stakeholder expectations effectively.
• Participate actively in team knowledge sharing and maintain comprehensive, up-to-date project documentation.
• Support the development and maintenance of the security consulting practice's methodologies, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 9 to 15 years of professional experience focused on information security consulting, with significant hands-on involvement in SOC and Threat Hunting.
• Possession of CISSP or CISM certification is mandatory.
• A relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent tertiary qualifications in computer science, computer engineering, information security, or related fields.
• Expertise in advanced network security, threat detection, and incident response techniques.
• Familiarity with additional certifications such as CHFI, GCFA, Security+, ISO 27001 LI is desirable.
• Experience supporting consulting pre-sales activities including preparing proposals and SoWs.
• Strong problem-solving skills using structured methods, creativity, and intelligence to develop client-focused solutions.
• Self-motivated with a consistent track record of successful consultancy project delivery across organizations of various sizes.
• Excellent presentation abilities tailored to both business and technical audiences.
• Proficient in written communication, including report preparation.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within teams.
• Dedicated to completing projects on time, within budget, and achieving high levels of client satisfaction.
