Job description
Role Overview
The Securities Dealer plays a crucial role in ensuring the prompt and accurate execution of client trades to support Wealth Management operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute trades effectively across multiple trading platforms to ensure the best possible outcomes in various markets.
- Deliver market insights and highlight investment opportunities across different asset classes to assist Wealth Relationship Managers in engaging clients with relevant information.
- Provide investment pricing quotations that align with client objectives and risk tolerance levels.
- Follow all policies and procedures regarding product due diligence and ensure suitability assessments are conducted properly.
- Operate strictly within the regulations set by MAS and SFA, maintaining internal governance compliance for all regulated activities.
- Support and contribute to special projects or initiatives as assigned periodically.
Qualifications and Skills
- Holder of a bachelor's degree with at least three years of experience focused on Private Banking Advisory and Execution Desk roles; experience across multiple asset classes is beneficial.
- Possesses certifications such as FMRP, CMFAS RES 2B (previously M1B), CM-EIP (previously M6), CM-SIP (previously M6A), CACS 1, and CACS 2.
- Well-versed in Bloomberg and MarketAxess platforms; familiar with core banking software like Avaloq is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of VBA and Python programming provides an advantage.
- Highly detail-oriented, accountable, and takes full ownership of responsibilities.
- Exhibits a collaborative, team-centric attitude and proactive work approach.
- Capable of thriving within a fast-moving and high-pressure work environment.
