Role Overview

The school is looking for an energetic and committed English teacher for the primary/secondary level. The role is centered on making English classes interesting, structured, and effective so that students strengthen their reading, writing, listening, and speaking abilities. The teacher will also help students develop confidence in using English in schoolwork and everyday situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and conduct lesson plans that follow the school curriculum.
• Teach English language and literature topics such as grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative writing, and critical thinking.
• Bring in new teaching methods and technology to keep students involved and improve learning outcomes.
• Track student progress through classwork, tests, and ongoing feedback.
• Build a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that motivates participation and imagination.
• Help students improve spoken and written communication.
• Lead activities like reading clubs, debates, and storytelling sessions.
• Work with other teachers to support English learning across different subjects.
• Assist students with exam preparation, competitions, and presentations.
• Keep detailed student records and share progress updates with parents during meetings.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a closely related discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
• A teaching qualification or education diploma such as B.Ed. or an equivalent credential.
• Prior experience teaching English at the primary or secondary level.
• Strong command of English along with excellent spoken, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to make lessons interactive, engaging, and suitable for varied learner needs.
• Familiarity with modern teaching techniques, tools, and classroom technology.
• Genuine interest in teaching and in building students’ appreciation for the English language.
• Good organizational ability and classroom management skills.
