Job description

Role overview

ACCPRO is working with a major international financial services organization to hire experienced Scrum Master contractors on a day-rate basis. The assignment is based in Dublin City Centre with a hybrid working arrangement and offers competitive daily rates. The initial term runs through December 2026, with the possibility of extension into 2027.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead core Agile meetings such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning activities.
  • Guide Scrum teams and Product Owners in Agile and Scrum practices so delivery improves, ownership is strengthened, and team performance becomes more effective.
  • Clear impediments and help coordinate work across teams and stakeholders so sprint and release commitments can be met.
  • Build strong, high-performing teams by encouraging continuous improvement, resolving conflict, and maintaining effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Keep the backlog healthy, support estimation activities, confirm release readiness, and help maintain Agile governance standards.

Experience and skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in Agile product development or service delivery, including a minimum of 2 years working specifically as a Scrum Master.
  • Solid command of Scrum, Agile principles, and servant leadership, with the ability to promote and influence best-practice Agile ways of working.
  • Background in supporting more than one Scrum team and coaching teams toward greater self-organisation and continuous improvement.
  • Good working knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience working with distributed or remote teams; familiarity with Kanban and SAFe is an advantage.
  • Scrum certification is desirable, such as CSM or PSM.
  • Strong abilities in communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management.
